Celebrate National Library Week

National Library Week (April 19-25, 2020) serves as a time to honor the contributions of our library and library workers to the Bridgeville community and to spotlight the role that the library plays in transforming lives and strengthening our community.

Though this National Library Week is much different than what we had initially planned, there is still a great deal to celebrate, and we hope that you will connect with us during this special week.

Each day, we will be highlighting a different aspect of library service and we invite you to share your experiences with us. We miss our library lovers and want to hear from you!

Monday: Bridgeville Public Library: Annual Report Highlights with the Director

Our 2019 Annual Report review has been postponed until Thursday. We look forward to seeing you then.

Director, Ben Hornfeck will go live on Facebook to share highlights from our annual report, which contains figures for programming, circulation and more. How did we do last year? Tune in on Monday to find out!

Tuesday: National Library Worker’s Day

National Library Worker’s Day gives us the chance to recognize our workers who serve the community by providing opportunities for patron engagement, learning and discovery. Do you have a story that you would like to share about our library workers? Someone who went the extra mile? Share it on our social media!

Wednesday: What Does Your Library Mean to You?

Are you a fan of the library? Then let us (and your family and friends) know! Share a special story on our social media about what the library means to you or how it has made a difference in your life.

Thursday: Library Giving Day

Library Giving Day is an event that gives library lovers an opportunity to support their local library. In these unusual times, Bridgeville Public Library remains a constant, providing quality information and programming to its community. And that is thanks to the caring support of individuals like you. We understand that not everyone is able to give, but every donation, no matter the size helps.

Friday: Go Live with the Library

Looking for something fun to do on a Friday? Come join us as we post and go live on Facebook throughout the day with fun activities for a variety of ages
