Discover the Stars: Telescope Kit

Explore the wonders of the night sky with the latest addition to our Library of Things; a SVBONY Telescope kit! Generously donated by SVBONY with the aid of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, this is a great beginner-friendly telescope.

The kit includes a tripod, telescope tube, eyepiece, finder mount, and zenith mirror; everything you need to get started observing the night sky. It also comes with the Observer’s Handbook 2026 from The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, featuring month-by-month guides to what’s visible in the night sky.

In addition, you’ll receive a helpful setup guide with tips on focusing the eyepiece and getting the best view, along with a link to an unboxing video that walks you through each component of the telescope step by step.

The kit checks out for one week with no renewals and is available on a first come, first served basis. It must be returned to Bridgeville Public Library. Inquire at the circulation desk and staff will assist you in checking it out.
