It’s a Bluey Wackadoo!

On Saturday, April 6th, the library held a Bluey Party, and it was a real wackadoo of a time or in American terms, an eccentric, good time! The event was hosted throughout the entire library for all ages to attend, and there were a lot of wonderfully fun things for attendees to do.

Multiple art centers offered families the chance to make Bluey or Bingo headbands and pretend to be their favorite sister of the two. Children also made a Bob Bilby puppet to take on adventures and share with their loved ones, and coloring pages were available for any little ones. A local artist, Rosemary, did face painting for children who wanted to become their favorite character or creature. Once transformed into their favorite character, the children could become “grannies” at the photo booth.

The fun continued with two different scavenger hunts throughout the library. Children won prizes for finding all of the hidden items. By far, one of the favorite centers of the event was the Keepy Uppy Game. During the game, children played with balloons and attempted to keep them from touching the ground.

If any friends who visited the wackadoo were a little overwhelmed, they could head into the community room to watch Bluey episodes or play Bluey and Bingo Tic-Tac-Toe.

Thank you to everyone who attended! This event was so much fun; we’re really looking forward to hosting it again sometime! Make sure to keep an eye on our event calendar for our next party happening at the library!
