Storytime at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden
This summer, the Bridgeville Public Library has a special partnership with the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden! Once a month, we are collaborating with the Garden to host a storytime with a craft. Anyone who wants to attend will have free admission to the Botanic Garden! Storytime is led by Miss Carrie, our Teen and Youth Services Librarian, who can be found at the gazebo for storytime. Throughout our bug themed program, we will do rhymes, finger plays, sing songs, and read books. After storytime, the Botanic Garden will have multiple crafts at their outdoor learning center for all participants. This month, they had butterfly crafts available, and we are excited to see what is planned for July. Next month’s storytime will be on Friday, July 19th from 10-11 AM at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. If you come to the program, make sure to take the time to wander through the gardens and admire the new Big Bugs + Pollinators sculptures while they are there.
The Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is located at 799 Pinkerton Run Rd. in Oakdale and is open Tuesday- Sunday.
